The following theatrical groups have committed to audio describing one performance of each main series production for the 2008-2009 season.

Broadway Series South "Broadway Series" productions on the first Saturday evening of each run.
Burning Coal Theatre Company productions on the first Saturday evening of each run.
Carolina Ballet, Sunday matinee.
Cary Players productions (dates vary).
North Carolina Theatre productions on the second Saturday afternoon of each run.
Opera Company of NC, Sunday Matinee
PlayMaker's Repertory Company productions, generally the final Tuesday, including Braille and Large Print programs.
Raleigh Ensemble Players productions on Friday, including Braille and Large Print programs at most shows, plus a Tactile Tour one hour prior to most performances.
Raleigh Little Theatre "Main Stage" plus some others, on the first Sunday afternoon of each run.
Theatre In The Park productions (except "A Christmas Memory"), generally second Thursday evening of each run.
University Theatre productions, Sunday matinees.

Sign Language Interpretation Schedule

We do not know of any additional Triangle-area sign language interpreted shows this summer. Please tell us if you find any!

NOTE: If you are deaf and wish to use the services of an interpreter when offered, it is important that you notify the box office at the time you purchase or reserve your ticket, so that you may be allocated a seat near the interpreter!

The following theatrical groups committed to sign language interpreting one performance of each main series production for the 2008-2009 season. For other theatre companies, you need to ask several weeks in advance.

PlayMaker's Repertory Company productions, generally the final Tuesday. $10 admission.
Raleigh Ensemble Players, same Friday show as AD schedule.
Triad Stage at the Pyrle Theatre, Greensboro, generally the last Tuesday of the run, with discount tickets ($12 vs $26) for deaf patrons, which must be purchased via the box office, not online.

Unless otherwise specified, all performances above are ASL Sign Language Interpreted. No text captioning is generally available, but some theaters offer ALDs; see our list of Triangle Theaters With Assistive Listening Devices. Generally, Arts Access has not arranged for the services above; rather they are listed here for your convenience based on information supplied to us. However, any theater or group wishing to hire a sign language interpreter or purchase an assistive listening device system may consult our list of Sign Language Interpreter and ALD Sources.

Garner Regal White Oak Stadium 14 (1205 Timber Dr E): Garner Movie Schedule (scroll down to Garner, also see Notes 1&2 below)

Note 1: Raleigh shows open captioned movies, while Apex and Garner show closed captioned movies using the RWC (Rear Window Captioning) system.

Note 2: Garner White Oak has been running different shows on different nights during the first week of each month, giving patrons an opportunity to catch-up on shows they may have missed earlier. Check with them for availability.
